   Puckworld is home to a race of hockey-loving humanoid ducks. When the sinister Dragaunus takes over the planet, a band of determined rebels, The Mighty Ducks, manage to chase him from the planet. During the fight, they are caught in a dimensional portal and end up stranded in Anaheim, CA. The Ducks form a hockey team and build a secret base under the Anaheim Pond so they can continue to fight Dragaunus and hopefully find a way home.

   Mighty Ducks was the first online fan community I ever got involved in. (While I'd been into other properties, including Ninja Turtles, before them, this was the first time I'd found others with the same interest online.) The franchise and the friends I made thanks to it really helped me get through high school, and while sadly the community is mostly memories now, I'll always fondly remember it.
   I lived in California for about 10 years, not too far from Anaheim where the show actually takes place. Sadly, I never got the chance to actually visit the real-life Pond (now called "The Honda Center," how whimsical), or to find out if the open-air mall across from it still exists. But I drove past The Pond once and managed to snap a pic! :D
